Description
🍌 The game where losing makes you stronger
In Plátano Pocho you're a banana trying to stay fresh while the whole table does its best to turn you pocho. Ripening has never been so dangerous… or so much fun.
Your banana ripens through four levels, from green to fully pocho. Play your cards to ripen everyone else, protect yourself and set up combos. When a magnet shows up, shout and join the group attack! And if you go fully pocho, you're not out: you come back as a character with a special ability that changes the way you play.
The least pocho banana wins and starts the next round with an advantage.
Why it'll be a hit at your table
- Explained in under 5 minutes and played in 15: perfect to kick off the night or wrap up dinner.
- 2 to 8 players without losing pace: works just as well for two as for the whole family.
- Nobody is knocked out early: going pocho is only the beginning.
- Huge replay value: every game changes with the characters and their abilities.

Your banana ripens in 4 levels
You start green and the whole table plays to turn you pocho. Every card that hits you bumps you up a level. And when you reach the end… things get really interesting.
-

Green
Fresh off the tree. Untouchable, with the whole game ahead of you.
-

Just right
They've already had a go at you. Time to protect yourself and start hitting back.
-

Spotty
Easy target. This is when someone plays a magnet and chaos breaks out.
-

Totally pocho
You're not out: you come back as a character with a special ability.
After 3 rounds, the healthiest banana wins the game 🍌
You go pocho and come back worse
When your banana goes totally pocho, you don't just sit and watch: you come back as a character. Each one breaks a different rule, so whoever was last becomes everyone's problem. That's why no two games are alike.

Let's play....
«A quick, fast-paced card game for 2 to 8 players. The game evolves depending on how many times your banana goes pocho, since you turn into a different character with a special ability. Lots of fun, perfect for any spare moment, because the mechanics are super easy to learn in under 5 minutes and games last about 10–15 minutes»

Guaranteed laughs and super lively games for everyone
«I tried Plátano Pocho, from the creators of Rey Mono, and it was an absolute blast. It's the classic party game that's perfect to pull out at any get-together, whether with friends or family, because it takes a couple of minutes to explain and hooks everyone from the very first round. What I like most is the pace: games last around 15 minutes, so it's super quick and you're always itching for a rematch. With room for 2 to 8 players and suitable for ages 8 and up, it's incredibly versatile, whether you're playing with little ones or bigger groups of adults. An original and really entertaining board game in Spanish for a good time full of laughs.»

Frequently asked questions
The usual questions, answered.
Do I need Rey Mono to play?
No. Plátano Pocho is from the same universe, but it's a complete standalone game: it plays on its own, with its own box and its own rules.
Is it good for playing with kids?
Yes, ages 8 and up. Games last about 15 minutes and nobody gets knocked out early: when your banana goes totally pocho, you come back as a character and keep playing. So nobody's stuck watching while everyone else plays.
How many people do you need?
2 to 8 players. With two, it's a quick and dirty duel; with six or eight, it's a madhouse. Both work.
What language is the rulebook in?
Spanish, and it fits on a single page.
Can I give it as a gift?
That's exactly what we made it for. It comes in a sealed box, made in Spain and plastic-free. Order two and you're over €35, so shipping is free (below €35 it costs €3.99), plus you get one to keep for yourself.
